Wedding Floor Wrap FAQ
Everything You Need to Know

Answers to the most common questions about wedding floor wraps in Vancouver and across BC.

If you are considering a floor wrap for your wedding reception, you probably have questions. How much does it cost? Will it damage the venue floor? How far in advance do you need to book? We have answered the 12 questions we hear most often from couples planning weddings in Vancouver and across British Columbia.

1. How much does a wedding floor wrap cost?

At LuxeWraps, classic floor wraps range from $597 to $1,097 depending on size. That price includes everything: custom design, commercial-grade printing, professional installation at your venue, and complete removal after the event. Custom designs with unique artwork, complex layouts, or oversized dimensions may be quoted higher. We provide exact pricing after you share your floor dimensions and design preferences, and there is no charge for the initial quote or digital proof.

2. What sizes are available?

We offer standard sizes from 10x10 feet up to 20x20 feet and larger. Custom sizes are available for non-standard dance floors or unique venue layouts. The most common sizes we install are 12x12, 15x15, and 20x20. We recommend measuring your venue's dance floor area (or asking your venue coordinator for the dimensions) and sharing those with us so we can recommend the right fit. A wrap that is too small for the space looks out of place, and one that is too large wastes material and budget.

3. Will the floor wrap damage the venue floor?

No. This is the question we hear most often, and it is the one we take most seriously. We use venue-safe adhesives that are specifically matched to your floor type, whether that is hardwood, tile, polished concrete, or vinyl plank. The wrap is removed cleanly after the event with no residue and no damage. This is one of the most important advantages of professional installation over a DIY approach, where the wrong adhesive can bond too aggressively and damage the floor surface.

4. How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 4 to 6 weeks before your wedding date. This allows time for the design process, proofing, any revisions you want, printing, and scheduling the installation at your venue. For peak wedding season (June through September in BC), booking 8 or more weeks ahead is ideal to ensure availability. That said, we have accommodated shorter timelines when schedules allow, so reach out even if your date is coming up soon.

5. Can I fully customize the design?

Yes. Every LuxeWraps floor wrap is customized with your names, initials, wedding date, colours, and any design elements you choose. You can match fonts and colours to your invitation suite, incorporate florals that echo your ceremony arrangements, or go with a completely original layout. We create a free digital proof so you can see exactly what the finished wrap will look like before anything is printed. Revisions are included until you are completely satisfied with the design.

6. How long does installation take?

Professional installation typically takes 30 to 60 minutes depending on the size of the wrap and the floor surface. We coordinate directly with your venue and other vendors to install at a time that does not conflict with the rest of the setup. In most cases, we install either the morning of the event or the evening before, depending on venue access. Removal after the event takes approximately the same amount of time and is handled entirely by us.

7. Is the floor wrap safe to dance on?

Absolutely. Our wraps use a non-slip, matte-finish vinyl that is designed specifically for foot traffic. Guests can dance in heels, dress shoes, or bare feet without any slipping risk. The material is also scuff-resistant, meaning it looks as sharp during the last dance of the night as it did during the first. We have installed wraps at receptions with 200+ guests and hours of dancing without any issues.

8. Do you serve venues outside Vancouver?

Yes. We serve all of British Columbia, including Metro Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, Langley, Abbotsford, the Fraser Valley, Kelowna, Victoria, and everywhere in between. The majority of our installations are in the Lower Mainland, but we regularly travel to venues across the province. Travel fees may apply for venues outside the Greater Vancouver area, and we will include those in your quote upfront so there are no surprises.

9. Can I combine a floor wrap with cold sparks or fog?

This is our most popular combination. A custom floor wrap paired with cold spark fountains and dry ice fog for the first dance entrance creates a truly cinematic moment. The cold sparks fire a controlled shower of sparks that are completely cool to the touch and safe for indoor use. The dry ice fog hugs the ground and rolls across the wrap, creating the effect of dancing on clouds. Both are venue-approved across BC and leave no residue. You can see our packages page for bundled pricing.

10. What if my venue has carpet or uneven flooring?

Floor wraps work best on smooth, hard surfaces: hardwood, tile, polished concrete, or vinyl plank. Carpet and heavily textured surfaces are not ideal for adhesive-based wraps because the vinyl cannot lie flat and the adhesive does not bond reliably to carpet fibres. If your venue has carpet in the dance floor area, reach out to us anyway. We can discuss alternative approaches or help you work with your venue to find a solution, such as placing a portable hard-surface dance floor panel that we can then wrap.

11. Do I get to keep the floor wrap after the wedding?

The wrap is a single-use product. It is custom printed for your event and removed after the reception. Because of the adhesive application and removal process, the wrap cannot be reused or reinstalled. However, some couples like to keep a small section as a keepsake or memento from the day. We are happy to cut a portion of the wrap for you after removal if you would like to keep a piece.

12. What is the difference between a floor wrap and a gobo?

A gobo is a light projection that displays your monogram onto the floor using a focused spotlight, while a floor wrap is a physical printed vinyl that covers the actual floor surface. The key differences come down to visibility and impact. A gobo only works in dim lighting and can be completely washed out by venue lighting, DJ lights, or photographer flashes. A floor wrap is visible in any lighting condition, looks like a permanent architectural feature of the venue, and photographs far better in wide-angle shots, first dance photos, and drone footage. For couples who want a guaranteed visual impact that holds up throughout the entire reception, a floor wrap is the more reliable choice.
